What the difference between Fructose and High Fructose Corn Syrup and What’s inIsagenix?

FRUCTOSE

FRUCTOSE, (levulose);
It is derived from sources such as honey, fruit from trees, berries, all types of melons, and vegetable roots (beets, parsnips, onions, and sweet potatoes). This is a great source for adding a carbohydrate to your diet. It is 1.75 times sweeter than sucrose and has other mineral benefits as well. Isagenix is proud to use this type and source for it’s essential carbohydrates.

Crystalline fructose is derived from corn and labeled “HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP” (HFCS). I have nothing against corn and it does have many uses in the human diet, but HFCS is misused in most foods, drinks, POP, and a huge cause of obesity too. These both have monosaccharides. Type 2 diabetes is spreading rapidly as a result of over consumption of HFCS. Isagenix does not use HFCS.

The whole food approach and source of raw materials are very important when creating a quality product. Out products containing fructose are there because this entire system required balanced carbohydrates, protein, and fat too. Carbs are not the enemy, we need them to produce energy, feed the brain, and are a key to life it’s self.

First, Linda is wrong about her “Rumors” of Isagenix users Ballooning up. We have HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS who have success on our Products.

Anyone discontinuing ANY program can BALLOON if they want to, just by increasing the caloric intake, going back to their old ways, and, continuing to hold in all the toxins they absorb. This is common sense.
Carbohydrates are necessary for brain function (conversion to glucose), energy and can not be removed from your diet. Isagenix used the finest “fructose” to balance the intake of carbs, protein and fats. This is a key to the success of the system.

Your link on fructose said;
1. Increase in visceral fat, the kind that embeds itself between tissues in organs.
Response,
Isagenix products contain a balanced program with 200 nutritional building blocks for optimum nutrition and have shown NO visceral fat increase. Isagenix does show a decrease in visceral fat.

2. Less sensitivity to insulin, one of the first signs of diabetes
Response,
In fact, Isagenix products have not shown any signs of insulin resistance. Insulin resistance (IR) is the condition in which normal amounts of insulin are inadequate to produce a normal insulin response from fat, muscle and liver cells. Insulin resistance in fat cells reduces the effects of insulin and results in elevated hydrolysis of stored triglycerides in the absence of measures which either increase insulin sensitivity or which provide additional insulin. Isagenix has shown quite the opposite.
3. Increased fat production in the liver,
Response,
Again, this is exactly the opposite of the Isagenix products. We have studies that show a great reduction in fat. There are also ingredients that support the Liver and increase production of Bile.

4. Elevated LDL (bad) cholesterol
Response,
Please tell me you really do not believe Isagenix causes an increase in LDL. Isagenix has shown a reduction in LDL.

5. Increased levels of triglycerides
Response,
I can tell you that Isagenix is in no way increasing Triglycerides in anyone.
The consumption of POP containing High Corn Syrup may cause this but we do not use this in ANY of the products!
