Future IB Psychology Students:

This handout contains the summer assignment to help prepare you for our year together in IB Psychology. Internet access is required to complete the summer assignment (all public libraries have computers for public use). Summer assignments are due the first week of school (8/13/18 - 8/17/18). The assignment will be graded and may be typed or handwritten.Turn in the completed assignment on time to earn maximum points. The summer assignment is posted on both the IB website and (Romaine’s class website). I will check my email during the summer a few times each week so feel free to contact me with any questions or clarification about the assignment.

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to spreading ideas that cover almost all topics in 18 minutes or less. Listed below are four talks that are relevant to our study of psychology. Please watch the talks at for each talk, write a three paragraph summary, application and opinion response. Summarize the key points in the talk. Discuss the real world application of the topic presented. Finally, present your opinion of the talk. Each paragraph should consist of six to eight complete sentences. Please include the topic of the talk and the name of speaker at the beginning of your response.
