Absences and Make-ups:

If you miss a day make sure that you check the classroom planner (located at the front of the classroom) to see what you missed while you were gone.

  • Students will have 3 days after returning to complete missing work and get it turned in
  • If a lab or test was missed then the student needs to come in during advisory time or after school to get that completed (this must also be taken care of within 3 days).

Classroom Procedures:

  1. Entering the classroom: Enter the classroom, quietly and quickly, turn in work, go to desk and work on Bell Ringer. You should be in your seat when the bell rings.
  2. When Bell Ringer is complete: Read a book, organize your work, work ahead, or do something quiet until we are ready to begin class.
  3. If you are tardy: If tardy please enter the classroom quietly and if you have a pass place it on my desk and/ or sign into the book (located at front of classroom by door). You must have everything with you for class.
  4. Asking questions and being called on: Ask questions! Asking questions helps you to learn and helps others too. If you are wanting to answer a question please raise your hand and wait to be called on.
  5. Listening and responding to questions: When someone else is speaking you should be listening NOT speaking. Other people may have the same question but may not be able to hear over you. If answering a question, listen, think and then respond. Participation is required.
  6. Pencils and Paper: Having something to write with and to write on is required, however, if you do not have a writing utensil you may borrow one for the class.
  7. When working in teams: You will be expected to work with others in this class. Cooperation, respect, and keeping an open mind are all important parts of working as a team.
  8. Leaving class: I will dismiss you not the bell. When you leave the class your area needs to be clean and you need to have all of your stuff. There will be no lining up at the door, pushing, shoving, running or yelling. When entering the halls you need to be mindful of others and act like ladies and gentlemen.
  9. If you need help or a conference: Contact me: speak to me before or after class, call me, email me. If you need help on an assignment speak to me as soon as possible. After school is better for one on one help.

By signing below I state that I have read and understood the classroom procedures and plan to follow them. Please sign and return this portion.
