Class Expectations: Bring materials to class every day. Participate in a respectful manner. Be an advocate for your education. Make up material from absences. (Check the blog and class absence folder.) Communicate with your teacher about making up missed tests and quizzes.
Materials:
- Personalized recycled paper bag cover
- 1 inch three ring binder with dividers (Warm ups, class work/notes & study guides)
- Loose leaf paper (housed in binder)
- Colored pencils
- Highlighters (multi-colored)
- Pencils and pens for daily activity
Late Work
10% will be deducted each school day for late work. Please turn your assignments in on time. For absences, as per CCSD policy, student has 1 day per absence to make up work.
Grace Pass
Need an extra day to complete a project or an assignment without penalty? You can earn 10% back by printing an 8x10 photograph of YOU in Georgia OR a photograph you’ve taken that captures Georgia’s flora/fauna or climate. On the back of the photograph, explain WHERE you are, WHAT you are doing, Region and WHEN photograph was taken. (See ‘What’s so great about Georgia’ board for a model.) .
Assessments
Unit tests are standards based. Tests will be a combination of multiple choice questions and written response to standards.
