Homework Binder/Agenda:
Homework binder with your agenda should be brought to class every day. If you have unfinished work from the daily class time, you will need to place it in your Homework Binder to finish at home, and you should turn in any unfinished work the next day. Your Agenda will be used as a pass to leave class for any reason.
Missing Work Policy:
You are responsible for all missing work. All missing work can be located on my webpage under the Science Calendar link. Locate the day of absence on the calendar and click on that day to see the list of everything we did on that day and links to any PowerPoints, Videos, and assignments. Missing work can also be found under the Science Assignments link on my webpage. Other featured links on my webpage include the Weekly Agenda, Research Links, and Breaking News & Important Information. Check my website often and especiallywhen you are absent from class to find out exactly what you missed!
Tutorials:
Tutorials can be scheduled on some mornings after 7:30 a.m. You must have a signed pass to morning tutorials! Be sure to schedule your appointment with me BEFORE coming to school early. Students are not allowed in teacher’s rooms before school without a pass. I am also available some evenings until 4:30 for after school help. Please schedule these appointments in advance. Tutorials are for extra help in understanding a concept, extra practice, completing make-up work, or repeating a lab that you did not understand.
Conference:
9:15 – 9:45AMRoom C104 Phone Number
Rewards:
Reward tickets will periodically be awarded to students for a number of reasons. For example, students who are following classroom and school rules, showing courtesy and respect to teachers and peers, working cooperatively, etc. When you receive a ticket, you should write your first and last name on the back of the ticket and drop in the ticket in the bucket for your class period. Class period buckets are located on the counter by the Front Door. Each Friday, 5 tickets will be drawn from each class period bucket and treats (usually choice of chocolate or non-chocolate candy) will be given.
Your success depends on you! Stay organized, focused, and ASK for help when you need it. Asking questions and even making mistakes are ways we learn new things!
