Middle School Entrepreneurial Adventures

The middle school is once again involved in developing their own businesses. We are so excited about the products that the students are creating, the learning that is involved in the running of a business and, of course, the making of their various goods. The students are learning about budgeting, planning expenditures, borrowing money/repayment plans, deciding where to get their supplies, designing products, designing marketing material, building prototypes, determining how to improve their product, and last, but certainly not least, how to work with others.

Each business is outlined below:

  1. Skisease – an innovative, practical approach to carrying ski equipment to and from the slopes.
  2. Lil’ Chests – hand-painted chests to store your keepsakes and special small items.
  3. JMMS – stress balls to help you focus and to reduce anxiety (regular and 2 layer)
  4. CD Treats – homemade cat and dog treats that will have your pets asking for more.
  5. Gioco Garage – developed an online game for fun and relaxation.
  6. PPPA – parkour accessories for the adventurous
  7. Snapshot Photos – gorgeous framed photos taken by our talented students
  8. BIJ Origami – small origami kits with instructions that kids of all ages can enjoy.
  9. Krafty Kingdom – amazing spray painted signs, either as is or by request

All money raised with the selling of the products will go to support the Cancer Society.

In addition to this, two of our amazing classroom artists have been working on creating masterpieces to sell through a draw to raise money for a charity close to our hearts, Oksana’s Harvest. This charity supports orphanages in the Ukraine with school supplies, personal toiletries with occasional volunteer trips to the Ukraine to help with repairs to the orphanage buildings. Their artwork will be on display in the office as of Monday, April 4.

We appreciate the support that our community has shown.
