Homework

Daily homework will not be assigned. However, reading outside of class may be necessary in order for students to complete novel study assignments.

Assignment Due Dates

Students will be given notice regarding long-term projects so that they can schedule time accordingly. Class time will be provided for students to work on long-term projects; however, there may be times work will need to be completed at home. The expectation is for students to maximize class time and productively manage time outside of class in order to meet due dates. Late work will be accepted; however, points will be deducted for each day late, not to exceed two weeks.

Make-up Work and Absences

If a student is absent from class, naturally he/she will need to make up any missed work. Please be advised that it is the student’s responsibility to obtain missed work. Class time will not be provided to make-up tests, quizzes, or assignments. However, opportunities will be made available--please see Tutoring Opportunities below.

Tutoring Opportunities: I will be available Thursday mornings (or by appointment) for the purpose of making up any missed work/incomplete work, or for retaking (as needed) major/secondary assessments. Students will sign up (or register) for this opportunity in advance.
