Supplies

•3 Ring Binder/Spiral Notebook

•Pencils and Erasers – NO Pens (work will not be accepted in pen)

•Notebook paper – wide or college ruled

•4 AAA Batteries (Pre-Cal only)

Rules

•Be on time.

•Bring all materials to class.

•The teacher dismisses the class, not the bell.

•No talking without permission.

•Respect your classmates and yourself.

•Have a good attitude.

Discipline

•Talking

•Students will receive 2 verbal warnings for talking when they are not supposed to be talking. On the third, the student will receive talking lessons. If the student continues to talk, the amount of lessons go up.

•If after sentences are given there is still a problem, I will contact parents.

•If problem persists, an office referral will be given to the student.

•Major Disruptions

•If the student openly defies me, threatens another student, becomes physical with another student, cusses, or any other major behavior problem, the student will go directly to the office.

Grading Procedures

•Daily Grades

•Daily Grades are your in-class assignments.

•10 - 35 points

•You will be assigned practice problems at the end of each lesson will be checked the next day. If you do not finish the assignment in class, then it will be homework. (10 points)

•Skills Worksheets are worth 20-30 points depending on the amount of problems. Worksheets will be given in-between lessons to help with skill mastery.

•Study Guides are given before each test. Study Guides are worth 25-35 points depending on the number of problems.

•ALL DAILY GRADES ARE GRADED ON COMPLETION. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR A BAD DAILY GRADE!!!

•Quizzes

•Quizzes are worth 20-50 points.

•There will be a mixture of announced and unannounced quizzes. Unannounced quizzes will be open book/notebook.

•Tests

•Tests are worth 100 points with 5-15 possible bonus points.

•There will be a mixture of short answer and multiple-choice tests.

Category Percentages

•Daily Grades – 30%

•Quizzes – 15%

•Tests – 40%

•Nine Weeks Exam – 15%

Grade Scale

•A = 90-100

•B = 80-89

•C = 70-79

•D = 60-69

•F = Below 60
