Homework:
The book report homework pages have been coming back to nicely. Thank you for taking the time to help your child with work. This week’s homework is two math pages that are due by Friday.
Today your child is bringing home our last Partner Practice book from FastTrack Phonics. Please take the time to reread this book with your child. Spending time reading this book with your child will help him/her become a better reader. When reading the individual letters, your child simply needs to say the letter sound. For the words, we are working on sounding out the word slowly then saying it fast. The goal is that your child eventually be able to read the words without sounding them out.
This week we will be starting our Shared Story books from KinderRoots. Our first story is The Wet Dog. This book will be coming home on Friday with a homework page that will be due on Wednesday. However, please continue to work on the Partner Practice books as well. Thank you for reading with your child. Good luck and have fun!
