John W. Jordan

Biography

Mr. Jordan is a 25 year veteran of the Finance Industry. He is currently a Consultant and provides Strategic Management Solutions to Businesses and Non Profits. He volunteers with the Pennsylvania State NAACP where he serves as their Community Relations Chairperson. He is the former Vice President of Commerce and TD Banks, where he headed up their Trenton NJ Community Banking Division.

In addition to his experience in finance, John dedicates much of his time doing advocacy work, and currently serves on several boards. He serves as the Board Chair for Hands across Philadelphia and he serves on the St. Francis Medical Center Foundation Board.

Mr. Jordan is dedicated to education. He served 8 years on the Bucks County Technical High School and Morrisville School Board serving as Board President for two of those years. He currently serves as Chairman of the Discovery Charter School Board of Trustees and recently received the President’s Award from the Central New Jersey Boy Scouts Council for leading their Learning for Life Program.

In 2008, John was appointed by the Governor of Pennsylvania to serve as a Commissioner on the Governors Advisory Commission on Diversity Affairs.

He recently was appointed to the National Voting Rights Commission by the Obama Administration for his work in Pennsylvania protecting voting rights.

Mr. Jordan often speaks at events addressing issues of diversity, job readiness, self esteem, peer mediation, conflict resolution and civil rights. He has been an invited speaker to Temple, Penn State, Rutgers and Drexel Universities to name a few.

In his spare time, he enjoys singing and is a member of the New Salem Baptist Church Male Chorus. He resides in Croydon, PA with his family.
