Footloose Feedback – Crae Wilson

Is the content of Footloose appropriate for a High School Production?

There was some negative community feedback, especially in regards to the elementary children brought for field trips.

*In the future permission slips should be sent home in advance so that parents can make that choice ahead.

* Junior versions of musicals are always a great option for future selections

Emergency Plan –Crae Wilson

Active shooting drills, fire drills, earthquake drills, bomb threat, hostage plan…

An emergency plan was constructed in 2013 by a committee. There will be a meeting to notify and help instruct teachers on how to handle emergencies efficiently.

*We could create a notice to send out to parents with guidelines on how to talk with families for different emergencies.

Update on Trustland Funds Budget – Crae Wilson

-Chrome books – ??what is the longevity of the chrome books?

*5-6 years. As they become damaged/outdated, we will replace them as needed with trust land funds

-$30,000 for sounds system was taken from capital budget rather than using trustland $

?? How do we project what the Community Council would like to use the money for?

*Put on the agenda for next time

Teachers should have the opportunity to email needs. !0% is allowed to carry over
