Using Microsoft Word to create you questions for Moodle

Unzip the file that is on the disk provided to you.

I recommend unzipping to your desktop

Open the folder and then click on the .dot file

Depending on your computer settings you may need to enable macros

Now use the buttons to create your questions

  • After you have created your questions, make sure you click the ‘CleanUp’ button.
  • Save the file to the folder that is on your desktop
  • Now click the ‘Export’ button. Save this file to the same folder. This is the file that you will import into your course.

By saving both the original file and the exported file you will make it easier to edit any of the questions while you are offline. Of course you can always edit the question while in Moodle to avoid the export and import steps again.
