A meeting of the Monroe Stateline Trailblazers was held at the JudaCommunity Center in Juda, WI. Officers present included Danny Van Houten (President),Rudy Ammon (Vice President), Berit Harpstrite (Secretary) andLaurie Schwarzenberger (Treasurer) not present.
Danny Van Houten called the meeting to order at 7:12 pm.
President’s Report
Danny Van Houten thanked everyone for coming. He told the members that there were pizza being made by Darren.
Vice President’s Report
Rudy Ammon told the club about the Swap Meet in Belvidere, no big items was sold. This coming weekend is the Swap Meet in Pecatonica, IL.
Secretary’s Report
Copies of last meetings notes was handed out for participating members to read and motion to approve was made by Ashley Foster and Randy Johnson.
Treasurer’s Report
Danny Van Houten read the treasurers report for Laurie who was not present and motion was made to approve by Brandon Foster and Bryan Zettle.
Trail Boss Report
Darren Roth did not have anything to report.
Cheese Days Float went well. It was brought up about the amount of money spent on candy.
Map Committee – we will be changing the map so the year is no longer showing as the current year but as a span of years. Reason is we do not make new every year. We are talking 2500 maps and off course the Brooklyn is getting some too. Please have the money from the sponsors in by October 18th, 2016.
Cardinal Lanes is in shambles per Dusty and the question is will it be ready by the time we have our Hog Roast/Christmas Party. We need to get the raffle tickets made and the location must be printed on the tickets. Dusty is going to contact them and book the location.
We finally got a deposit down on the two Artic Cat snowmobiles but now the person does not want the trailer they are on. It was discussed what we should sell the snowmobiles for without the trailer.$800.00 was brought up and Drew Goeke and Ted Davis made motion for the $800.00. Motion carried. Pete Goepfert is going to tell the person $800.00 and if he is not willing to pay that, we are returning the $100.00 deposit to him.
Dusty Kubly spoke with Hickory Daniels and he said that had some winter wheat damage. Hickory did not want to complain but Dusty told him the club would pay for the damaged wheat since he is letting the club use his land to ride on. Motion was made to pay $100.00 by Darren Roth and Ashley Foster. Motion carried.
Question was brought up to the members about another apparel order, if there was an interest? There was in placing another order. Darren will tell Kathy.
Berit Harpstrite Nielsen talked about a new website that she checked into which is created by a snowmobiler in La Crosse.
She called and spoke with him and he told about what this website can do for the club. A printout of what the site could look like what handed out. Club members were interested and Berit is going to for the website to Drew Goeke, Pete Goepfert and Allen Blood for them to take a look at it and see what they think.
Meeting Adjourned
Danny Van Houten asked if there was any additional new business. He then asked for a motion to adjourn. Darren Roth made the motion to adjourn and Rudy Ammon seconded the motion. Meeting was adjourned at approximately 7:53pm.
