As the Horsemanship Camp comes to an end it is hoped that you all had lots

of fun, made some newfriends and most importantly improved your Horsemanship Skills.

Owning a horse is a big responsibility;it is much more than being able to ride.

Good horsemen women understand their horses, take special care of

them and are always willing to learn.

Hi Clinic Participants

I hope that you have all read the “HorsemanshipCampFlyer” and are prepared to abide by all conditions.

Horses should be fit, in good condition and recently had their feet attended to.

If the weather is fine before the clinic it may be a good idea to wash your horse, If you don’t get a chance to do this, please try to make sure that you wash their tail and give them a really good brush.

Please print out the Horsemanship Camp Timetables and stick them to the inside of your float, truck or caravan. There should be no reason to be late for any lessons. It is also a good idea to wear a watch so that you can make it to each lesson on time. If you have a FREE make sure that you start saddling up at least ½ an hour prior to your lesson.

All clinic participants are required to give some assistance in the kitchen during the

3Days. A roster has been drawn up so please check to make sure that you do your share of the work. I will be checking to make sure that everyone helps out.

Remember to pack these items if you have them:

WHIP (DRESSAGE or PONY CLUB)

BACK PROTECTOR – PLEASE NOTE: Bealiba Pony Club has a rule that states “that all riders participating in Show Jumping and/or Cross Country MUST wear a safety vest. Our club has a number of vests available for use for these lessons.

MARTINGALE – MUSThave stoppers on both reins and stopper on the neck strap.

I hope that you all enjoy the camp program and have a wonderful three days. - Faye

YARD ALLOCATION FOR THE 3 DAY “HORSEMANSHIPCAMP”

Please Note: The Bealiba Pony Club has 40 steel horse yards. All members attending have been allocated one yard each. Some members have been given larger yards for the camp. Please check the grid below and only use the yard that has been allocated to you. Yards must be kept clean with chains done up at all times. Yards will be checked regularly to make sure that there is no gear left lying around and that all horses have adequate water, and feed and are wearing rugs. Under no circumstances should a horse be left in a yard overnight without a rug.
