Move--out procedures

In order to have your security deposit refunded, your apartment should be in the same condition it was when you began occupancy. The following guidelines should be a helpful check list.

1)Clean all walls and woodwork to remove smudges and stains. DO NOT re-paint or re-stain.

2)Clean all kitchen appliances, including the stove burners, burner pans, vent, racks, oven and broiler pan. Defrost refrigerator, clean inside, outside, and behind refrigerator.

3)Clean floors, baseboards, and especially in the corners of the room and closets.

4)Clean doors, including cabinets and drawers. Dust hot water heater.

5)Clean lavatory, bath tub, tile, commode and medicine cabinet.

6)Clean light fixtures, and the inside of the windows.

7)Drapes must be dry cleaned, not washed, as it will shrink them.

8)Clean under sofa and chairs, and under cushions of Sofa and chairs.

9)Apartment must be cleaned prior to doing carpet, if additional cleaning of apartment is required and it is necessary to go back in to clean, then the carpet will be cleaned again at your expense.

10)Vacuum carpets and then have them steam-cleaned professionally, do not go back into apartment, so do this last and bring receipt to the office.

11) TURN KEYS IN TO THE OFFICE; DO NOT LEAVE KEYS IN APARTMENT.
