Education and qualifications
Good standard of education (GCSE, NVQ level 3 or equivalent)
Qualification in Adult Training (i.e. PTLLS or CTLLS, Assessors qualification or Level 3 Award in Education and Training - AET (Formally PTLLS) – Teacher Training) ORthe ability to train towards a relevant qualification within the first 6mths of employment*
Employment History
Relevant previous or current employment or voluntary work, including of working with families and/or volunteer management
Working experience of providing a family support service
Working experience of delivering an accredited course to adults
Working experience of group work
Supporting families
Understanding of the needs of families with young children
Parenting experience
Knowledge of safeguarding issues
Knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to children and families
Volunteer support and training
Working experience of recruiting, training and retaining volunteers
Working experience of planning, delivery and assessing an accredited training course
Supporting the scheme
Knowledge of the voluntary sector and the roles and responsibilities of voluntary management committees
Ability to input, process and collate information in a data system
