Mock SAT - Practice Test

Saturday, February 24, 2017 at Mercer Island HS, Upper Commons Registration: 8:00 am to 8:30 am;Test: 8:30 am to 1:00 pm Register by Tuesday, February 20th

This practice test, offered through Princeton Review, exposes students to the ACT and SAT questions under simulated conditions. Receive scores, learn test-taking strategies, and ask questions at follow-up session for parents and students on March 6thin the MIHS Library. Test results will be provided to the student and not shared with MIHS or any college. No preparation is needed in order to take the mock test.

You MUST Bring: Two #2 pencils with erasers; photo id; acceptable calculator (i.e. scientific or graphic). Alpha keyboard calculator is not acceptable. See the Test Day Checklist on sat.collegeboard.org/register for more details.

You MAY Bring: Watch (without audible alarm); extra batteries; drinks and snacks for breaks; backpack.

You MAY NOT Bring: Cell phone, iPod, or other digital and electronic equipment.

Cost: If registering before Tuesday, February 20th, the cost is$30.00 per student for the practice test, scoring, review session and materials. After February 20th, the cost is $40 and students can register, in person, between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. on February 24th, before the test starts.

Test Results and Review Session: A follow-up review session for students and their parents is scheduled in the MIHS Library, March 6th, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm (please bring your test booklet). Test results will be available 6:30 to 7:00 pm. At 7:00, an instructor from Princeton Review, a business specializing in test preparation classes and tutoring, will review example questions, discuss test strategies, and answer questions. If unable to attend, test results will be mailed to the student.

Date Conflict: Students who have a conflict on February 24th can take the test at home. Please register for the test and indicate this preference at the bottom of the form. The test booklet and instructions will be available for pick up the morning of the test. Princeton Review will score the test, although it must receive the completed test by the Wednesday following the mock test to score in time for the review session.

Sponsor: The MIHS PTSA Senior Party Committee. All proceeds benefit the Senior Party, an event that provides a safe graduation night for all seniors.

How to Register: Please retain the information above but complete this section. Make your $30 check payable to MIHS PTSA Senior Party and mail your check and this completed section to Margo Mansfield, 4140 W Mercer Way, Mercer Island, WA 98040.Forms will not be accepted in the counseling center. Please postmark or deliver by Tuesday, February 20th. All registrations after February 20thare $40 and must be in person between 8:00 and 8:30 am, on February 24th prior to the start of the test.
