Citrix XenApp environment HealthCheck

Service Overview

The scope of this engagement is to analyze the problems the customer has identified in their CitrixXenApp Environment, and determine possible solutions. Recommendations will either focus on immediate repairs to the Citrix farm during the remainder of the engagement, or assessment and design changes as may be required per discussion with the customer.

Targeted customers:

  • Planning for an upgrade
  • Experiencing problems with the existing farm

This interactive approach may solve the issues, have the customer perform remediation themselves or lead to another engagement for further work.

Key Service steps

Depending on the customer needs, environment and budget constraints we will perform some or all of the following tasks:

  • Review and or discuss AD GPO and Login Scripts that relate to Citrix Environment
  • Review and or discuss XenApp Database design and configuration
  • Review and or discuss XenApp Web Services configuration
  • Review and or discuss XenApp Printing environment
  • Review and or discuss XenAppapplication configuration
  • Review and or discuss XenApp Server Event Logs
  • Review and or discuss XenApp general farm configuration
  • Review and or discuss XenApp Licensing Server configuration
  • Review and or discuss Terminal Services Licensing Configuration
  • Review and or discuss Physical network topology
  • Review and or discuss Client access model
  • Review and or discuss AD user profile configuration

The deliverable for those areas reviewed and or discussed will be a written summary of findings. The level of detail will be discussed with client in advance and will vary depending on engagement length and environment complexity.

End User's Responsibilities

  • Provide technical points-of-contact, which have a working knowledge of the enterprise components to be considered during this project.
  • The Client is responsible for providing all hardware, software, and facilities for the successful completion of this project.
  • All hardware and software is currently covered by maintenance and upgrade services.
  • Customer will provide at least one technical contact with system administration responsibilities for the duration of the service in a timely basis.
  • Client will provide facilities, access to network and phone services as needed.
  • MLACCS assumes no responsibility for unprotected data and any lack of client's security in place.
  • Provide consultant with appropriate levels of access and privilege to systems and information necessary to the performance of the service
  • Client will provide current supporting network diagrams, server to user configurations supported, and Active Directory security requirements for implementing this project.
