FORMAT:Each district will create a team from members of their district. The district representative and 2017 district coach of the year for each district is responsible for creating their best team to compete. There will be two divisions per team. You can have up to 2 alternates per division. A team comprised of wrestlers 10 and under (8/10) and a team comprised of wrestlers 14 and under (12/14). The 14 and under team can have a wrestler that is 10 and under but absolutely no 12 or 14 and under on the 10 and under team. There will be two pools of four teams wrestling round robin format. The pools will be split such that no region will compete against each other until championship rounds. The first place team from pool A will wrestle the second place team from pool B and the pool A second will wrestle the pool B first. The winners from those matches will wrestle for the championship and the losers will wrestle for third. The third place teams from each pool will wrestler each other for fifth and the fourth place teams from pool competition will wrestle each other for seventh. The championship and third place matches will wrestle on full surfaces. Scoring for the dual will be high school rules, where decisions are worth 3 points, majors are worth 4 points, technical falls are worth 5 points and falls are worth 6. Both divisions are used for total team score. We will draw the pools after weigh-ins have concluded. Each District will need to supply at least 1 table worker per dual.
