Brief History
Jumping rope has many names, including jump rope, skipping rope and rope jumping - as well as many variations of those phrases.
Nobody can know exactly when it started (although researchers believe it was somewhere around 1600 B.C.) or exactly how it was performed in the beginning, we know that it's progressed immensely over the years.
It went through the countries of Egypt, China, all of Europe, and eventually found it's way into the North American countries as well. By now, virtually every country in the world uses jump rope as a fun pastime or a form of exercise or even a competitive sport. / Let’s
