Is Your Child Ready For 1st Grade?
This week will begin our real push to get ready for First grade. We will be taking a Spelling and Dictation test every Friday. These are essentials that need to be acquired in order to be prepared for the next step. This may be difficult at first but most children catch on quickly. If you see that your child is struggling week after week then that is a big clue they are not ready for what lies ahead. Now is the time to really apply what we have been working on thus far. Learning letters, sounds, and sight words are a must but if they cannot be applied then there is a problem that needs to be worked on.
Egg Hunt
On Thursday, March26th, we will be having a number egg hunt. Each child will have a number and will hunt for their particular number on the eggs. We need your help! In order for your child to participate, we are asking that you send in 15 plastic eggs with candy or small toys in them. This will ensure that all children get an equal amount of eggs. Please do not put chocolate in the eggs, as it will melt! This is a fun activity for all the children to participate in! Please send the filled eggs by Monday, March 23rd.
