Homework Intervention Program (HIP) Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 2:00-3:00 pm

Materials Needed:

·  Filler Paper (Lined Paper)

·  Pen (Blue, Black, and Red)

·  Highlighters

·  Markers or Colored Pencils

·  Pencils

·  1 composition notebook (No spirals)

·  Post-its (standard)

·  Glue Sticks

·  Scissors

·  Post-its (Tab-Sized) (Recommended)

·  Kleenex (Recommended)

·  Clorox Wipes (Recommended)

·  1 Bag of Candy individually wrapped (Recommended)

Grading:

Students will be graded in Classwork, Homework, Quizzes, Tests and Projects. Quizzes, Tests, and Projects will have the most weight. PLEASE STUDY FOR ALL TESTS AND QUIZZES!

Student Expectations:

1.  Students are expected to maintain an organized notebook to ensure classroom success.

2.  Students are expected to be respectful towards the teacher and one another.

3.  Students are expected to participate in class to the utmost of their abilities.

4.  Students are expected to turn in homework in a timely manner on the assigned due date. If you are absent, please make arrangements to make up all missing work with the teacher.

5.  Students are expected to come into class ready to learn and remain positive.

Simulations

This course will feature interactive simulations of historical events. These are meant for educational purposes only. It is the expectation that students will participate to the utmost of their abilities and remain positive throughout the simulation. If a student at any time feels uncomfortable, they may speak to me about an alternative assignment.
