Miss Giannini’s Classroom Rules:

1.  RESPECT: Respect is a two way street, if you want me to show you respect, show me and your classmates the same. As juniors in high school, you should already be aware of what appropriate behavior is permitted in a classroom! But as a reminder- NO swearing, inappropriate language or behavior, no yelling or fighting with anyone in the classroom- students or teacher! There should never be talking while the learning process is going on in classroom! There is plenty of time for you to socialize with other students during lunch and in between classes! NO PDA in my classroom or around my classroom! ** At any time other inappropriate behaviors can be added to this list at any time!

2.  ALWAYS come to class prepared with your materials ready to learn! Be in your seat before the bell rings! BE ON TIME! If you are NOT in your seat when the bell rings you will be marked tardy!! Being on time, means being in your seat when the bell rings, with your materials out ready to learn!!! DO NOT stand or line up by the door before the bell rings at the end of class, you are to stay in your seat until the bell rings! We are here to have fun, but we are also here to WORK! We work from bell to bell!

a.  If you come to class late, you will have to stay in class late! You will have to make up that time you missed from my class.

b.  If you come to class and you forget your materials, you will just have to borrow a pencil and paper for the day because you will NOT be permitted to go back to your locker! You need to be RESPONSIBLE for yourself and your actions!!

3.  You are responsible for your actions at all times! (If consequences need to be implemented) : First you will receive a verbal warning, 2nd time you and I will have a conference after class time, 3rd time, if the problem persists, a phone call will be made to your parents/legal guardian, and 4th time you will receive a detention and an office referral.

4.  ABSOLUTELY NO food, drinks or cell phone permitted during class!!! You may bring a bottle of water to class, but that is all, NO FOOD! If you have food or a drink other than water you will have to throw it out before you enter my classroom! Please keep the classroom neat and clean! Pick up after yourself! Also, if I hear or see a cell phone, it will be confiscated immediately and taken to the office- NO WARNINGS!! I don’t want a cell phone to interrupt the learning process in my classroom- period!

5.  No excessive passes will be permitted in class. Do not ask repeatedly to go somewhere once class has started. You may leave for emergency purposes only.
