ASAA Report
*Hockey-New divisions, State berths TBD.
*No support for any change to basketball classification. Status Quo remains.
*WPI will be eliminated. Seeding criteria for State Basketball to be developed.
*Arbiter Athlete. This Spring. Arbiter Athlete will cost $9400, $4375, $2500
$950 based on district size. $400 per school to add on scheduler.
*Baseball. Proposed changes to make games go faster. Talk to Baseball coaches about if they want these supplemental rules.
*Track and Field. Changes to entering qualified state meet entrants and to bringing athletes into meet if scratches at coaches meeting.
*Basketball. State Championships at AK Airlines Center for 5 years.
*Host sites for Softball between Anchorage & Fairbanks
DISCUSSION
*Girl’s Hockey. Should it no longer be sanctioned by ASAA.
*Number of Quarter/Period played a day will be discussed.

Fall Regional Tournament: XC Run(Was) – Went well ,Swim(Pal) –Great. Vball(Kod)-Good, (Hom)-One big party,(Hut)-Fine. FBall(Was) - Easy,(Kod)-Went well,(Mon)-Got done, (Nik)-It worked. Wrestling(Kod) -Good,(Del)-discussion on Girls tourney all else well,(Sew)-Went well.
Baseball Bylaws – Houston 1st, Hom2nd . Unanimous approval. NEW BYLAW
FB Cheer Calendar Extension – All good

WinterRegional Tournament Reports: Bball (Was) –Going well, (Hou) –Going well hosting at Colony HS. Look again at Coaches meeting time, (Mon) –It’s coming. SKI(Ken)- Went great.Hockey(Sohi) –Went good, (Hou) –Went great.
Action items
Gold Lifetime Pass – Ron Langseth, Mike Boyd
HOF Nominee – None.
Region Championship hosting –Look at multiple times hosting in a year. Move Kenai into rotation for 3A.
Kachemak Conf. Wr. In Cordova – ASAA will discuss with Cordova their responsibilities. Have contingency plan for location and weather.
Southcentral and Volleyball Bylaws – Hom 1st, Sew 2nd . Unanimous Approval. BYLAW CHANGE.
NLC Bball Bylaw – Girls first and Boys second every year. Do not change.
Stacia will work on Bball cheer bylaws.
Soccer Bylaws –Div. 2 NLC: Palmer, Hou, Red, Grace, Kod. Like Bylaws, no conference tournament. Hou 1st, Red 2nd Peninsula: Hom, Ken, Sohi, Nik, Sew, Voz. Good with Bylaw, want conference tournament. Nik 1st, Sew 2nd
Division 2 Hockey – New bylaws are being established. Vote in Spring Meeting

Kachemak Conf. Wr. Bylaw – Request for 4th berth back given to ASAA Rep based on existing numbers and adding Kenai. Section 9: Round robin for 3 wrestlers in a weight class if all coaches involved agree. Hom 1st, Nik 2nd.BYLAW CHANGE
