Prior to commencement of the official proceedings, the Chairman of Council welcomed Cllr Peter Grainger on his recent election to the Town Council.

1271GLENMORE CENTRE MATTERS
Members had been furnished with a copy of the report submitted by the Centre Manager.

The Chairman of Council, in her capacity as a regular user of the Glenmore Centre, thanked the Management Committee for the improvements to the Centre, which have made it much warmer.
On behalf of the Management Committee, Mrs Jacques thanked Mrs Blood for covering the Centre during her recent absence.
It was noted that Cllr D Forster is arranging for paint to be donated to the Glenmore Centre when the interior is decorated during the Christmas period.
RESOLVED to accept the report.
2172MATTERS ARISING
2162, 2151 Trees Northwood Drive – Janice Taylor Following receipt of the above correspondence, it was RESOLVED to seek the advice of a Tree Surgeon.
2162, 2157b) Various Consultations – CBC Notification had been received from CBC that the Project Board had been cancelled and the next meeting scheduled for 29th November.
It was RESOLVED to reply expressing concern at the short timescale the Town/ Parish Councils were given to respond to the Consultation and that due to cancellation of the meeting by CBC, the outcome will be delayed.
2162d) Little Haw Lane – Response from Ingles FC Following a reply from Ingles FC relating to the dug outs, it was RESOLVED to request that the dug outs be removed from the field and are only permissible on match days. A permanent arrangement for dug outs has not been agreed by the Town Council neither has the advertising boards. Therefore, until further information is received from Ingles FC, the dug outs are not to be left out.
2173CORRESPONDENCE
a) David Rodgers – CAB Financial Report Members had been circulated with a copy of the latest CAB financial report. It was RESOLVED to accept the report. The Shepshed outpost is well used and provides an excellent service.
2174FINANCIAL MATTERS
a) Accounts for payment and paid accounts It was RESOLVED to make a £60 donation to Hathern Band for their attendance at the Remembrance Sunday Service.

The Chairman of Council reported that the Mayor of Charnwood was most impressed with the Service.
It was RESOLVED to accept the accounts for payment totalling £61625.20 and paid accounts totalling £17679.37 as circulated prior to the meeting.
b) Rent Charges It was RESOLVED to make the following increases with effect from April 2017:-
Grazing land at Ingleberry Road – increase from£260 to £265
Oxley CP School – Use of Little Haw Lane – increase from £456 to £460
St Winefrides RC School – Use of Glenmore Park – increase from £105 to £110
Shepshed Amateurs FC ) Increase£775 to £780

2175ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION WITH THE POLICE
Other than the Crime Statistics, there were no matters for the Police.
It was noted that cars don’t tend to take any notice of the crossings both outside of ASDA and in the Market Place.
An appeal was made through the Press for motorists to be more considerate towards pedestrians.
