2Definitions

Workplace policies and procedures refers to the documented procedures and policies providing guidelines of the tasks and activities carried out in the workplace. This typically includesrelevant health and safety requirements to eliminate hazard/risk in the workplace.

2.1Key industry hazards are explained in terms of the marine or composite industry.

2.2Strategies for minimisationor elimination of hazard are explained and applied in accordance with Health and Safety legislation.

2.3Methods of eliminating, isolating, and minimising are explained and applied for industry-specific hazards.

2.4Storage methods for chemicals are identified and applied in accordance withMaterial Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and workplace policies and procedures.

2.5Personal protective equipment is identified and usedin accordance with MSDS and manufacturer instructions.

2.6Hazard information documents are explainedin terms of information type.

Rangeevidence of five documents is required.

2.7Hazard control documents are explainedin terms of their applications.

Rangeevidence of four documents is required.

2.8Hazards are recorded in accordance with workplace policies and procedures.
