Opening Remarks
Mr YIP Wing-shing, the Chairman of the Central and Western District Council (“C&WDC”), welcomed all to the 1st special meeting of the Finance Committee (“FC”) (2018-2019). He said that this meeting was held to elect the Chairman and Vice-chairman of FC, and he would preside at the meeting in accordance with Section 34(14) of the C&WDC Standing Orders until the Chairman and Vice-chairman were elected.
Item 1: Adoption of the Agenda

2.The agenda was adopted.
Item 2: Election of Chairman and Vice-chairman of FC (2018-2019)

3.The Chairman announced that one nomination for the office of FC Chairman had been received before the meeting. Mr LEE Chi-hang was nominated as the candidate by Mr YEUNG Hoi-wing and seconded by Miss LO Yee-hang and Mr CHAN Hok-fung. The Chairman asked Mr LEE Chi-hang whether he consented to the nomination and acceptance of the office of FC Chairman. Mr LEE Chi-hang indicated his consent. As only one candidate was nominated for the office concerned, the Chairman declared that Mr LEE Chi-hang was elected as the Chairman of FC (2018-2019).
4.The Chairman announced that one nomination for the office of FC Vice-chairman had been received before the meeting. Mr CHEUNG Kwok-kwan was nominated as the candidate by Mr CHAN Hok-fung and seconded by Mr LEE Chi-hang and Mr YEUNG Hoi-wing. The Chairman asked Mr CHEUNG Kwok-kwan whether he consented to the nomination and acceptance of the office of FC Vice-chairman. Mr CHEUNG Kwok-kwan indicated his consent. As only one candidate was nominated for the office concerned, the Chairman declared that Mr CHEUNG Kwok-kwan was elected as the Vice-chairman of FC (2018-2019).

6.The Chairman announced that the next FC meeting was proposed to be held on 1 March 2018.
