MN explains Visions and Values
MN shows layout suggestion for PC newsletter, all agree this is a good idea.
MN shows letters, flyers for local businesses and letter to Yoker Housing Association.
All agree Parent Council Newsletter should go out ASAP asking for parent helpers.
MN shows Christmas Fayre flyers and letter that has to go to Yoker Housing asking for donation.
Stalls
SW says she will do the stall dealing with hot dogs.
Pupils council – toys
Media – photo with Sants – only for anyone who wants photo – separate cost for photo
Flyers for pupils to go out when banner goes up, 2 weeks before event.
HO’R to set up database for businesses.
SW suggests sharing fayre details on facebook.
Stalls
Tuck shop – crisps, quenchy cup and freddo
Choc Fountain – set up skewers night before
Tombola – MW to man
Parent Council booking bouncy castle x 2
Get lollipops for game
Put on newsletter that stalls are available for hire
MN – ask staff to make something to sell at fayre
Raffle prizes – make hampers and see what else comes in
Advertise in Parish Bulletin and Clydebank post. Contact Clyde 1 to put out advert for school fayre. Nursery notice board.
SW suggests getting cheap Christmas table cloths to cover stalls/tables
IMcC suggests book stall
MN – goes over joint campus meeting
LK reads response from D McEwan re demolition of gym hall. All agree a meeting is needed with D McEwan.
MN thinks there is a lot of concern re asbestos in St Brendans and that this is why not going ahead as planned.
All discuss next steps for PC on this issue.
LK to contact D McEwan to arrange a date for meeting with PC.
21 October 1.30 PC meeting
LK to contact D McEwan and see if 27 or 28 October is suitable.
MN to get something on website for Parent Council minutes and newsletter.
MN goes over uniforms – black bottoms are out.
Concern raised about supplier and quality of sweatshirt. IMcC suggests Tesco online.
LK suggests getting other suppliers to bring in samples – royal blue top.
