SUB COMMITTEES
Playpark
- The clerk stated she had now received the Playpark balance and would be putting it towards pick up sticks. (£700.96)
- An application has been forwarded to the Goole Fields Windfarm Fund for a grant towards the pickup sticks and this had now been received at County Hall. A decision will be made in December 2016.
- The clerk to apply to the Empson Trust for a donation towards the pickup sticks.
- The Chair is still awaiting a reply from Wicksteed regarding the problems found after the last inspection as the playpark equipment is still under guarantee.
Cow Lane – Nothing to report. The next meeting is in September 2016.
Village Hall
- A door is required for disabled access. Mr. Henderson to apply to Planning with dimensions.
There is no charge for disabled access.
- Building regs still awaited.
- Electrical work started.
- The stainless steel tables were discussed. The Chair stated these were chosen by the Parish Council when completing the grant application for the original larger kitchen prior to the reduced plans being decided upon. They were originally chosen for cleanliness reasons and as a commercial kitchen would have been easier to keep clean.
- The Chair commented on the area where the prefab was and said that if this is to be used for more car parking, the play area needs to be fenced off for safety reasons. Mr. Henderson agreed that the Hall Committee would sort this out.

It was proposed by Mr. James Woodcock and seconded by Mrs. D. Fletcher that the minutes were
a true record. The Chairman signed the minutes.
64/16MATTERS ARISING
Village Hall
- Arched windows for Victorian Hall now ready. Chair to arrange delivery.
Speeding
- A site meeting has now taken place by Katie Stork, Asst. Engineer, Traffic & Parking at East Riding Council.
- Katie recommends gateway entry road markings in the form of Dragons Teeth, ‘SLOW’ marking and 30mph speed roundel for the western entry to Reedness, eastern entry to Ousefleet and southern entry to Adlingfleet. These measures could be added to their Forward Programme of work to be considered in 2017/18.
- It was resolved that this work should be added to their Programme of Work and the clerk to inform Katie.
Emergency Boxes
The Adlingfleet box is to be delivered by Mr. J. Barker Grimshaw to Adlingfleet Church.
The Whitgift box to be discussed at the next Whitgift Church PCC.
BT Pole - Adlingfleet
The clerk has sent a letter of complaint to both East Riding Council and BT Pole Section and is awaiting a reply.
65/16CORRESPONDENCE
NHS Clinical Commissioning Group
NHS has launched a public facing campaign aimed at raising awareness of how much it costs the NHS to prescribe paracetamol for short term use, encouraging people to buy over the counter instead at their local chemist or supermarket. A poster to be placed on the noticeboard.
66/16ERECTION OF GARAGE AND TWO STOREY EXTENSION TO FRONT AND SIDE WITH BALCONY FOLLOWING DEMOLITION OF SINGLE STOREY; EXTENSION TO SIDE AND CONSTRUCTION OF VEHICULAR ACCESS. WEST VIEW FARM, OUSEFLEET.
These plans were viewed on the laptop but the clerk agreed to circulate the link to each Parish Councillor for more information.
67/16STANDING ORDERS AMENDMENT
Mr. T. Henderson suggested that an amendment should be made that no Chair should be in office for more than three years. The clerk advised that after consulting with Matthew Buckley in the Democratic Services Office, she had been told there is no limit on the number of years a Chair could hold office.
Mr. Rudd then added that he would like to suggest that an amendment should be made that if any
donations are made to local causes, then confirmation paperwork should be requested by the Parish
Council to verify the use of this money. It was resolved that this amendment should be made.
