3.The Procurement Officer, Punjab AIDS Control Program informed the participants that the invitation for bids for purchase of Equipment for Referral Laboratory and District Laboratories for AIDS Testing were advertised in press which appeared on 20th December, 2016 in Daily Nawa-e-Waqat, Daily News, Times, Daily Sarzameen and Daily On Record and also placed at PPRA and Health Department website on 20thDecember, 2016. He further stated that nine (9) Firms/bidders submitted their bids till the closing date. The detail of nine (9) bids submitted by the different firms/bidders is depicted as below:

4.The Procurement Officer also informed the participants that nine (09) bids were evaluated by the Technical Committee one by one according to evaluation criteria. Detail of Technical Evaluation Report enclosed (AnnexureA).

5.The Chair informed the participants that the financial bids would be opened as per PPRA Rules. The technical bids were evaluated by the Technical Committee and those bids which would not conform to the specified requirements would be rejected and the financial bids will not be opened. The financial bids of those organizations whose technical bids are accepted shall be opened.

All the members of the committee signed the envelopes. Each of the envelope containing the bids was shown to the participants, the name of the firms and quoted price was loudly announced.
