MINUTES OF MEETING OF HUNDON PARISH COUNCIL
HELD ON TUESDAY 15th NOVEMBER 2011 AT 7.30 P.M

ActionHPC1111/362 - Public Forum
Community Speed Watch – Hundon Community Speed Watch was launched on Friday 11th November 2011. So far the scheme has been very successful. A full report is attached to these minutes.
Oil Buying Group – This continues to expand and now includes Stoke by Clare. There are 103 members.
A member of the public raised questions regarding:
· Clare in Bloom
· Flooding
· Street Lighting
· Footpath along allotments
HPC1111/363 – Apologies for Absence
There were no apologies for absence.

HPC1111/365 - Minutes of Meeting 20th September 2011 (Circulated)
Cllr J Midwood corrected minute HPC1011/352.
The minutes of the previous meeting held on the 15th October 2011 were accepted as a true record and signed by the Chairman.

HPC1111/368 - Progress Reports
a) Iceni Homes/Hundon’s Affordable Housing Scheme – The Open Day held on Thursday 3rd November 2011 in Hundon Village Hall was well attended. Concerns were raised over flooding in Valley Wash. There were many positive comments about the proposal.
b) Village Sign – The Chairman thanked Cllr D Nimmons and Cllr P Daniels for their work on the village sign. An amount of £80.00 was agreed by all for the cost of the post.
c) Hundon PCC, Toilets – At a meeting of Hundon PCC, it has been agreed that the toilet facilities will now be placed inside the Church. New quotes are being obtained for this work.
d) Hundon PCC, Flag – Hundon PCC needed to return the flag purchased, as it was incorrect. A new flag has been purchased from a different company at a lower cost.
e) Jubilee Celebrations - Martin Waldron responded to the article in the Hundon Herald asking if anyone would be interested in organising an event to celebrate the Jubilee. The Clerk will contact Mr Waldron.
f) Cricket Field – Mr J Barker will look into the matter of lowering the poles to ground level that hold the cricket nets.
HPC1111/369 - Parish Plan Implementation Group
Meeting opened to public.
Mr J Letts asked why the Parish Council could not be the implementation group. Advice from Suffolk Acre is that a separate group should be set up.
Cllr D Rowlinson suggested that people from the Parish Plan Steering Group may like to be involved in implementing the Parish Plan.
It was suggested that an article be put in the December edition of the Hundon Herald.

HPC1111/370 - New Bin for Bus Shelter
This item was moved to the December meeting.
HPC1111/371 - Repairs to Telephone Box, North Street
An offer has been made to paint the telephone box on North Street. Mr M Humphrys offered to investigate the cost of paint.
HPC1111/372 - Donation to Hundon Wildspace
A letter from Hundon Wildspace requesting a contribution of £300.00 to continue work on the project. This was agreed by all members of the Parish Council.
HPC1111/373 - Clearing of the Football Field
This area has now been cleared.
HPC1111/374 - Review of Rent for the Football Club
It was unanimously agreed to keep the Football Club rent at £300 for 2012.

The total requirements for 2012/2013 were set at £14,759. See attached schedule for the breakdown of figures.
h) Grass Cutting Quote for 2012
The grass cutting quote of £625.34 for the 2012 season was agreed by the Parish Council
