January 7, 2016
Special Session
The Council of the City of Lewisburg met in special session on Thursday, January 12, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Paul R. Cooley Council Chambers located at 942 Washington Street West, Lewisburg, WV.
PRESENT: City Recorder Shannon Beatty; Council members Joshua Baldwin, Heather Blake, Mark Etten, Joseph Lutz and Beverly White.
ABSENT: Mayor John Manchester
VISITORS: Attorney Tim Stranko with Cay, Casto & Cheney.
CALL TO ORDER: Recorder Beatty called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
Councilmember White made a motion to go into executive session to discuss a pending Ethics Commission issue at 6:02 p.m. Councilmember Baldwin seconded the motion. With all in favor the motion carried.
RECONVENE INTO REGULAR SESSION:
Councilmember Lutz made a motion to reconvene in regular session at 6:35 p.m. Councilmember White seconded the motion. With all in favor the motion carried.
Councilmember Baldwin made a motion to direct City Recorder Beatty to instruct Attorney Tim Stranko as special counsel to draft an amendment to item #4 of a response letter to the WV Ethics Commission in regards to the position of City Administrator. Councilmember White seconded the motion. With all in favor the motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT:
Councilmember Lutz made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:39 p.m. Councilmember Blake seconded the motion. With all in favor the motion carried.
