MIZZYMEAD EXILES WERE NOT ENTERING A TEAM FOR THE FORTHCOMING SEASON

MIZZYMAKERS WILL PROVIDE FOOD FOR THE COMING SEASON AS CATH JOHNSON IS NOW CAPTAIN

PAUL WHYTE ANNOUNCED HE WAS RESIGNING FROM THE LEAGUE

THE CHAIRMAN SAID AS FAR AS HE WAS CONCERNED WE HAD A GREATSEASON WHICH WAS TROUBLE FREE HE THANKED NORMAN TOLLEY, JOHN POWELL, AND PAUL WHYTE FOR THE WORK THEY HAD DONE AND SHARON WILLIAMS FOR RUNNING THE INTERLEAGUEHE SAID THE DINNER AND DANCE HAD GONE WELL AND HE THEN FINISHED BY WISHING EVERYONE A GOOD SEASON TO COME

  1. TREASURERS REPORT

THE TREASURER HANDED OUT A BALANCE SHEET WHICH SHOWED A HEALTHY BALANCE IN HAND OF £1320.83 SO THERE WAS NO NEED TO INCREASE THE LEAGUE FEES FOR THE COMING SEASON

THE PRESIDENT THANKED JOHN POWELL FOR DOING THE ACCOUNTS AGAINTHIS YEAR FOR US AND IT WAS PROPOSED BY RAY CHAPPELL AND SECONDED BY JASON SOPER TO ACCEPT THE ACCOUNTS AND THIS WAS AGREED BY ALL

THIS WAS NOT REPORTED DUE TO NORMAN TOLLEY HAVING TO RESIGN FROM THE LEAGUE DUE TO ILL HEALTH JOHN POPLE HANDED A CARD AROUND FOR ALL TO SIGN

  1. INTERLEAGUE CAPTAINS REPORT

SHARON WILLIAMS REPORTED THAT WE NEEDED MORE SUPPORT FROM TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE WITH GOOD FRONT FIRST PLAYERS AS AT THE MOMENT WE WERE ABLE TO GET A TEAM OF TWELVE PLAYERS FOR GAMES BUT THEY WERENT THE BEST TWELVE PLAYERS IN LEAGUE AND THAT IS WHAT INTERLEAGUE IS ABOUT THEREFORE THIS SEASON WE STRUGGLED TO WIN ANY MATCHES SO THIS SEASON WE ENDED UP THIRD

JOHN POPLE ASKED SHARON IF SHE WAS PREPARED TO KEEP RUNNING THE INTERLEAGUE TEAM AND SHARON SAID THAT SHE WANTED TO RESIGN IT WAS THEN DISCUSSED ABOUT ALWAYS PLAYING MATCHES ON A THURSDAY NIGHT AS MOST PEOPLE DIDNT WANT TO PLAY AWAY GAMES ON SATURDAYS

JOHN POPLE ASKED IF ANYONE WAS WILLING TO RUN THE INTERLEAGUE TEAM FOR THE FORTHCOMING SEASON AND NO ONE STEPPED UP

  1. ELECTION OF OFFICERS

CHAIRMANIT WAS PROPOSED BY JASON SOPER AND SECONDED BY RAY CHAPPELL FOR GREG NEWMAN TO CONTINUE AS CHAIRMAN THIS WAS AGREED BY ALL

VICE CHAIRMAN IT WAS PROPOSED BY JOHN POWELL AND SECONDED BY LES CAREY THAT JASON SOPER SHOULD TAKE ON THIS ROLE THIS WAS AGREED BY ALL

SECRETARY/FIXTURE JOHN POPLE ASKED SHARON WILLIAMS IF SHE WAS PREPARED TO DO THE MINUTES AT THE MEETING AND DEAL WITH THE RESULTS ETC WITH THE HELP OF JOHN POPLE AND JOHN POWELL WITH THE FIXTURES SHARON SAID SHE WOULD GIVE IT A GO THIS WAS THEN PROPOSED BY JASON SOPER AND SECONDED BY NIGEL TRAMNER THAT SHARON SHOULD TAKE ON THIS ROLE THIS WAS AGREED BY ALL

ALL RESULT CARDS ARE TO BE EMAILED TO SHARON EACH WEEK

JOHN POPLE STARTED A DISCUSSION ABOUT THE CUP MATCHES HE PROPOSED THAT WE PLAY SIX GAMES FOR THE FRONT PIN FIRST CUP THIS WAS SECONDED BY SHARON WILLIAMS

THERE WAS A CONCERN THAT THERE WOULD BE NO FREE GAMES FOR ANY REARRANGED GAMES TO BE PLAYED IN THE FIRST HALF AND THE SECOND HALF IT WAS AGREED THAT ANY REARRANGED GAMES COULD BE PLAYED BEFORE THE LAST GAME OF THE SEASON

IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT RON CHAPPELL HAD PASSED AWAY AND DETAILS OF THE FUNERAL WERE GIVEN

JASON SOPER RECOMMENDED A NEW GROUP FOR THE DINNER AND DANCE THIS BEING TWICE DAILIES

A PROPOSED DATE WAS MADE FOR THE START OF THE NEW SEASON THIS BEING THE 19TH SEPTEMBER 2017

THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE ON THURSDAY 17TH AUGUST 2017 AT 8.00PM

THERE BEING NO OTHER BUSINESS THE CHAIRMAN CLOSED THE MEETING AT 9.16PM
