568BUS SHELTERS

In response to concern received from various Councillors, the Town Clerk had contacted Mr Lague of Shepway D.C transport dept, who had stated that in deed Shepway was in favour of better provision of bus shelters and had no information why the shelters at Sea View Road and elsewhere have been removed. There was a general opinion from Councillors that the Shelters should be replaced as soon as possible.

569GREATSTONE CAR PARK

The Town Clerk read out the recently received email from Mr Lague of Shepway D.C on the outcome of another site meeting at Greatstone, in which he stated that the contractor would be asked to quote for the work. Subject to approval by Shepway, the contract would be let. The timescale for completion depends on this approval and contractor priorities. In terms of another ticket machine that may be some way off as it would unlikely be a priority. Cllr M.Masters pointed out that she had met the officials at the site meeting and impressed upon them the urgency of the work.

The Town Clerk was asked to send the draft letter as amended.
