MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE F&GP COMMITTEE HELD ON MONDAY, 28TH NOVEMBER, 2011 AT 7 PM IN THE PARISH OFFICE

Present : Cllrs. Mr. Truesdale (Chairman), Mrs. Aston, Mr. Sharp, Mr. Young

  1. Apologies : Mrs. Goss, sickness. Mr. Wheeler, holiday.
  1. Precept 2012/13 – after much discussion it was agreed F&GP precept would be £53,085 which includes £5000 for Library, £5000 for continuation of Youth Club and £5000 for Capital Asset fund. Communications was set at £2120. Recommended that total precept for 2012/13 should be set at £91,961. This is a 12 ½% increase on the current year (£81734).
  1. Annual Grants – requests had been received for grants and the following recommended :-

Haddenham & District Age Concern£300

Chiltern Air Ambulance£300

Haddenham Parochial Charities£300

  1. Airfield Sports Facilities – letter received from our solicitor – Horwood & James confirming completion of the application to register the Parish Council’s lease. Copy of the Title Information Document was enclosed. H&J to be asked to forward the original document for our keeping. They are pressing Lands Holdings for payment of their costs. Lands Holdings also to requested to reimburse the Parish Council with the £500 already paid in this connection. Jon Pawsey had obtained 2 quotes for drainage and fencing and had requested a third. We had been informed by Joe Houston, AVDC that the S106 money will be paid directly to the Parish Council. Enquiries will be made as to how we go about securing these funds.

  1. Copy of Haddenham Social Centre’s Accounts for period 1.4.11. to 30.9.11. received showing a net profit of £557 as against £11,000 profit for last year.
  1. Three letters of thanks received from students for educational grants.
  1. Quote received from Trax SN Jenks for Complete Maintenance Plan for the BM.X track - £2020 plus VAT. Application for a grant of up to £1000 will be made to AVDC. Recommended this is undertaken as track is very well used and maintenance work was last done in 2009.
  1. A request has been received by the Tennis Club for assistance towards the cost of netting they have had to install to prevent footballs landing on the courts. The PFMC has agreed to fund half and it was asked if the PC would pay £500. Recommended this could be made from Banks Park Trust funds.
  1. Complaints had been received regarding boards being placed on the War Memorial green advertising the Christmas event at the Tithe Barn.
