MINUTES OF 26th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Chairman called to order the meeting at 7:15pm. There was a quorum with 24 members present. The Chairman thanked everyone for being on time.
1.To Adopt Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of the Commanderie de Bordeaux held on 09 April 2010.
The Chairman asked all present to review the minutes and called for a motion that the Minutes be adopted.

The Minutes were adopted.
2.Matters Arising from the Minutes of the 2010 AGM
Jen Shek Wei raised the issue about insurance for the wines owned by the Commanderie (which he first raised at the previous AGM). The Chairman reported that there is basic insurance coverage with Toll Zenecon. As Toll Zenecon have been good with their service the Council has felt that there is no need to increase the insurance coverage.
3.Annual Accounts for 2010
Grand Argentier Richard Lee presented the Annual Accounts. He highlighted that the society’s net income was $18,573.05
Cash as at 31 December 2010 was $53,600.76. The Grand Argentier concluded that the society’s finances were healthy.
The Grand Argentier called for a motion that the Minutes be adopted.

The Accounts were adopted.
4.Le Maitre’s Annual Report
The Chairman highlighted the following for 2010 (which was from April 2010 to April 2011 for the current Council):-
- 9 events were conducted in 2010. (BYO Dinner, AGM/Chateau D’Issan Dinner, The Quantet of Beychevelle, Guiraud, Kiwan & Latour-Martillac Dinner, Bastille Day Dinner, Bin End Dinner, Chateau Figeac Dinner, Chateau Branaire – Ducru Dinner & the 25th Anniversary Vintage 1985 Dinner)
- The Chairman announced the retirement of Mr Michel – Pierre Massonie, President of the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux (GCVB). The new President is Mr Emmanuel Cruse, owner of Chateau D’Issan. Mr Cruse was in Singapore in April 2010 for our AGM & Chateau D’Issan dinner.
- Regionally, there have been no new chapters.
The Chairman gave his thanks to all for supporting the Commanderie.
5.Election of Officers
The Chairman opened the floor for nominations. The Chairman presented the following slate:

The Chairman asked for a motion that the candidates mentioned above be elected.

The Motion was passed.
6.Election of Honorary Auditors
The Chairman called for the nomination of 2 auditors for the coming year.
Teo Shiok Fu (S2628790A) & Patrick Goh Yeow Hwee (S1350896H) were proposed.
Proposed : Wong Kok Leong for Teo Shiok Fu. Julian Cheong for Patrick Goh.
Seconded : Tan Kah Hin for Teo Shiok Fu May Ng for Patrick Goh.
The Chairman thanked the outgoing Honorary Auditors.
7.Any Other Business
Donald Wong requested for more black tie events. The Chairman stated that there will always be 2 black tie events for each year. Namely, The Bastille Day dinner and the Year End dinner. Jackets are required whenever there is a wine maker dinner. The Chairman noted Donald Wong’s request.
Donald Wong noted that as he was signing the Attendance List, that there has been an increase in membership. He thanked Le Maitre for expanding the Commanderie.
The meeting recorded a vote of thanks to the Maitre, Mr Wong Kok Leong, for his leadership and service to the Commanderie
