President’s There were 2 new people from Bridget McCann & Ron Nardo who are going to the annual convention -

Remarkshopefully they will make the meetings and get involved.

Old Business:1. Legacy emails for Gary, Rob, Harry & Rich

2. Weights were received 2- 20lb, 2- 25lb and 1- 35lb; meeting to coordinate weight throw clinics was being held the same time as Board meeting. Clinics should cover the cost of the new weights

3. Assignments for delegates for the annual convention:- Sue – Officials, Gary – Race Walk/Officials,

Sheryl – Youth, Rob – Masters T&F, Pam – Women’s T&F, Maria Michta –Athlete’s advisory/ RW

Committee, Carl – MUT/LDR, Fred – Women’s LDR/Athletes for the Disabled/Coaching Education,

Alex – Men’s LDR, Ron, Bridget, Dwayne & Mike Polansky were not assigned any meetings as yet

4. Alex said he is not giving up on upgrading the 2013 Association Award – he would need a copy of the sanction for Race Walk National Championships and MUT Championships

5. It is difficult to do the entireRun Jump Throw program. It is something that need not be put on by the Association, it can be done by a club or organization. Gary is on the advisory committee

New business:1. Pro-rate the cost of Official recertification – need to cover the $15 that goes to the National office

Committee Reports:

Track & Field (Rich) – There will be indoor meets in December, January & February at SuffolkCommunity College – we have to wait for the College to fill in their own dates before we get dates for our meets; there will be clinics for the weigh throw

LDR (Alex) – Next races will be the 5K in Oyster Bay, Fly with the Owls in Lynbrook, Bellmore PAL 4K, O&M Championships

Developmental (Fred) – Tuesday nights usual open – making Sunday all year round practice day

Race Walk (Mary Ann) –Developmental meet in March (2K, 3K & 4K) and in June – 5K. Junior National Championships will be a 5K at Hauppauge; Distance for indoor meets should be 1 mile; December will be Race Walk Night at St. Anthony’s for Nassau Officials, race walkers and coaches

MUT (Carl) – 6 hour race at Sunken Meadow – Oct 19; Caumsett – March, 2015; Carl will put in bid for 2 additional years at National Convention for 50K National Championships; looking for another sponsor

Masters (Rob) – Looking forward to 2015 – place & time for Regional meet – possibly June 27 & 28; USA Nationals – July 23-26; Worlds - August

Youth Athletics (Sheryl) – Indoor Championships February 8th; need 5 officials for the XC Championships

Athletics for the Disabled (Fred) – Goals: at the Empire State Challenge in June will take a table with USATF people to make connections; reach out to wheelchair athletes

Officials (George) –there will be 3 officials for the PAL meet on the 11th, 5 for the O&M Championships on 10/26 and 5 for the Youth Association Championships on 11/9; on Oct 9th there will be a 2 hr certification class – general Track & Field (apprentice level). Approximately 20 expected

Coaching Education (Fred) – Level 1 for 2015- set for weekend of July 18th; paperwork all filed; arranged with Econolodge for $90
