NEXT MEETING MONDAY SEPTEMBER 14 in Room A of the courthouse basement

5:30 to stuff, 6:30 for regular meeting

THIS IS OUR LAST OFFICIAL MEETING BEFORE THE EVENT SO PLEASE TRY TO ATTEND!!!

PAINT WEEK: 9/14-18 or 9/21-24

Matty will bring all paint kits to the Sept 14 meeting

Please make arrangements to pick up

PARK SET-UP:Friday, September 25, starting around 10am.

Need help with set-up, leaf blowing routes (*bring leaf blower if you have one)

ROUTE SIGN PICK-UP ANYTIME BETWEEN 1 & 4pm

PROMO EVENTS: Most events were already taken care of (thanks Lenore!)

Nancy will do the County Fair and Terry Einerson

the Custom & Classic Car show on September 13

Lenore will get the three Navarino signs for us

TIMELINE:Nancy Schultz has taken care of the liability insurance

Matty will re-connect again with Matt Hendricks re:park stuff (tables, stakes, garbage cans, etc)

Matty will contact all sponsors reminding them of opportunities to provide business cards

and/or coupons for the ride.

Maxine agreed to ‘take a look at’ the THANK YOU for the park (thank you Max!)

Nancy Schultz will provide evaluation sheets for the riders & a container for completed ones

Matty will get gas gift cards for the SAG drivers

Matty will send committee members an evaluation sheet; party date yet to be determined

**LEADS WILL CONTACT THEIR VOLUNTEERS AS EARLY INTO SEPTEMBER AS POSSIBLE

(Matty is working on finalizing the volunteer list)

Matty – add banners alongside pavilion kitchen/bathroom doors for safety

SAGS & FOOD STATIONS: MARY LEWELLIN & MAXINE WILLIAMS

One 4-H group has not responded so were replaced by Angelica 4-H

Are awaiting names of final SAG DRIVERS

SIGNS 7 TRASH CONTAINERS – TOM THOMAS

Trash containers are NEW AND IMPROVED!!

All signs are categorized/color-coded by routes with description of placement on the box

Discussion about sending the bike box with SAG drivers; decided not a good idea

VENDORS – PEG GALLAGHER no report

Middle Ages band has disbanded, and Peg has found someone to perform in their place

Approximately 6-8 vendors

REGISTRATION & PARK MAP – NANCY SCHULTZ

Will look at necessary signs and re-do evaluation

Working on people to help

Will provide names of Strong Bones people to Dave Koeller asap

Working on names of HCE ladies for registration & food

BANNERS – ED GRYS

We will have banners—more than last year!

Ed & Meryl will put up 3 signs outside of town

Could use help with take-down

PUBLIC RELATIONS – JERRY CZECH

Banners are ready to put up at downtown bank and fairground fence

2000 postcard size ads have been delivered to Charlie’s Country Market; they will be distributed the

Week-end of September 18-20

Jerry and Matty will be on Breakfast Club September 9

JERRY – are you sending out press releases to Appleton Post Crescent & GB Press Gazette?

All previous riders will receive an email invitation this week

GUIDED TOUR – GREG STURM

Greg shared a guided driving tour booklet that Patti Peterson from Chamber made.

Discussion of what we want her to make for our guided tour

Picture of one our barn quilts on the front and/or back perhaps; map in the middle

Greg will follow-up

NANCY will find a copy of the BELLE PLAINE ROUTE and send to Patti

FOOD AT PARK – NANCY BROWN-KOELLER & LENORE BEHNKE

Lenore will connect with Angie re: food amount and what

Peg Gallagher will deliver food to Laney’s in Lenore’s car

Committee will meet for further planning of pick-u-p, etc.

SALES TABLE & STAINED GLASS RAFFLE – MATTY

Nick & Rachel Bleser and Jennifer Greiert have agreed to be in charge

Matty will make signs for table and raffle

SECURITY PLAN & TRAFFIC CONTROL – MARK KOHL

Chief Kohl agreed to talk with Adam Bieber, Eddie Sheppard, & Grant Bystol

Matty will compose letter and send to him

We will provide people at intersections indicated in security plan

SIGNS ARE HERE!! Please pick some up from Dave and place them in high-volume areas

Keep track of where you put them so someone can retrieve them

There’s no date on signs so we can use them each year (good thinking DAVE!)
