EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

THE ETHYLENE OXIDE STERILIZATION ASSOCIATION, INC.

Meeting

August 20, 2013

Representatives of the Executive Committee of the Ethylene Oxide Sterilization Association, Inc. (EOSA) convened a meeting on August 20, 2013. Members in attendance included: Aaric Brainin, Jonathan Bull, Chris Klosen, Kathy Hoffman, Dave Ludwig,Fenil Sutaria,and Randy Viscomi. Jake Vandevort participated on behalf of B&C® Consortia Management, L.L.C. (BCCM).

1.0Administrative Issues

1.1Welcome and Introductions -- Viscomi welcomed everyone and called the meeting to order at approximately 10:00 a.m. (EDT).

1.2Antitrust Reminder -- Vandevort provided the antitrust reminder.

1.3Next Conference Call -- Executive Committee conference calls were scheduled for September 19, 2013, and October 8, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. (EDT).

2.0U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) -- Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) Assessment

2.1Comment Period Deadline -- EPA has communicated that it will extend the comment period on the ethylene oxide (EO) assessment from September 5, 2013, to October 11, 2013. Vandevort reported that a Federal Register notice regarding the extension is expected later this month. Vandevort will monitor this matter and report on new developments.

2.2Coordination with the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) EO Panel -- Vandevort and Bill Gulledge have discussed the topic of holding joint ACC/EOSA conference calls to discuss the draft comments on the IRIS assessment. Vandevort will coordinate with Gulledge to identify the next conference call.

2.3Timeline for Comment Development -- Vandevort will circulate the current timeline for comment preparation, review, and submission. Draft comments from Drs. Jane Teta and Bob Sielken are expected to be received by September 6,2013, and should be circulated to ACC and EOSA members for review by September 12, 2013. Vandevort will obtain a copy of the initial comments from the consultants.

2.4Next Steps -- Members will continue to review the IRIS assessment and identify potential impacts for the EO sterilization industry based on its content.

3.0Pesticide Registration Review -- No updates were reported.

4.0Membership Renewal and Budget -- Vandevort will prepare and circulate 2014 membership commitment forms by August 28, 2013.

5.0October General Membership Meeting

5.1Logistics -- The general membership meeting is scheduled for October 14, 2013, at the Westin Alexandria. The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Committee meeting will begin at 2:30 p.m. (EDT) and will be followed by an Executive Committee meeting at 4:30 p.m. (EDT). The membership meeting will begin with a reception at 5:00 p.m. (EDT). Vandevort will prepare and distribute the meeting announcement within the next week.

5.2Feature Presentation -- Bela Jancsik (Opulus) will provide the feature presentation. An additional speaker may be brought in to discuss IRIS matters.

5.3Elections -- Elections will be held for the roles of Vice President and Treasurer. Vandevort will circulate a call for nominations within the next week.

5.4Agenda Topics -- Agenda topics will include a discussion on the IRIS assessment, EH&S activities, general updates, and reports from each of the work groups created to address priorities and goal-setting matters for EOSA.

6.0Adjourn -- There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at approximately 10:50 a.m. (EDT).
