  • Craig from One Call gave a Webinar worked very well and was very informational we let him know we would post their contact information on the MSSA website for the members to have access to.
  • 11:30 – 12:30 Lunch and MSSA Business Meeting
  • 12:30 – 1:15 Everbridge presentation, Patrick Stuver Ever Bridge Senior Account Executive
  • Patrick from Everbridge gave a presentation which was very informational as wellwe let him know we would post their contact information on the MSSA website for the members to have access to.

Scholarship Committee:

  • Scholarships Update: Scholarship Committee members, Todd Berg - Brooklyn Center, Jeff Kirkeby- Pavement Resources, and Mike Purdy - MacQueen Equipment. We are looking for one to two additional members for the Scholarship Committee (Dan have anyone interested in the Committee talk with you).
  • No news or updates from Scholarship Committee
  • Membership AppreciationNight Committee:

Committee members are,Jeff Kirkeby – Pavement Resources, Tom Reiner – Ham Lake, Jake Theisen – Prior Lake, andBert Tracy Dan Tobritzhofer and Ken Frosig. Planning for the spring 2017 Event will begin this fall. (Dan have anyone interested in the Committee talk with you).

Thoughts were, we will try and move it to the South Metro it has been held in the North, East and West.

New Business:

  • City of Golden Valley has scheduled an asphalt preservation pilot project with Corrective Asphalt Materials. The pilot project will take place on Wednesday August 17th. Interested in learning more about the pilot project and materials please contact Bert Tracy for project location and timing.
  • City of Woodbury is also working with Corrective Asphalt Materials to schedule an asphalt preservation pilot project, Their pilot project is tentatively schedule for Thursday August 18th
  • As the City of Golden Valley and City of Woodbury know the time and location we will try to post it on the website for members to plan accordingly

Upcoming Meetings, Events and Training:

  • MacQueen Equipment Annual Golf Event (this is not an MSSA event, MSSA will assist in the notification to members with an email announcement),

Judd to give the Golf Event Announcement

  • Date: Tuesday September 27th
  • Where: Valleywood golf course, Apple Valley

4851 McAndrews Road

  • Shotgun start 11; 00 a.m.
  • $20.00 per person
  • Same format as in the past shotgun start 4 people to a team if you do not have enough for a team let Judd know and he will try and place you with someone. Reply to Judd ASAP so they can plan the event there will be a BBQ to follow like in previous years. Judd is out the first week of September. Bert will be sending out a reminder email to follow.
  • Fall Snow Meeting to be held at the City of St. Louis Park in October, exact date, time, agenda and venue to follow.
  • Jeff Wolff is working on putting it together and will be sending an update.
  • Fourth Quarter meetingwill be on Tuesday Nov 1, Hosted by the City of Crystal Public Works, we will be requesting members to bring a piece of snow plow equipment.
  • Winter Chemical Trainingwill be on November 16that the North St. Paul American Legion(Tim Hanlon will give a brief overview of this training).
  • Tim Hanlon gave a short summary of the Winter Chemical TrainingIt will be November 16th MSSA members it will be free and a small charge for nonmembers it will be a four hour seminar on enhance liquids and dust control. We will post it on the website when we know time of the seminar.

Email announcements with more details on the upcoming trainings and meeting will be sent out in the late August or early September

  • Other MSSA Business,

Mindy Carlson with LTAP gave an update that they are working on a new website that will make it easier to access and see the credits you need for the Road Scholar Certificate. Mindy left some brochures for traffic layouts for the members.
