North County Italian Association Scholarship Guidelines

NORTH COUNTY ITALIAN ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT - $1,000.00

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2018

The scholarship committee will not consider an application received after the deadline.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

A. Applicant must be of 25% Italian ancestry

B. A graduating high school senior

C. Attend, or plan to attend a four-year college or university, or junior college

D. Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

E. Be a resident of North County San Diego (MUST reside north of CA Hwy 56)

and have been a resident for a period of not less than 12 consecutive months

F. Be a citizen of the United States

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION TO INCLUDE, IN ADDITION TO THE ATTACHED:

1. Copy of high school transcript

2. Minimum of two letters of recommendation (From other than family members)

3. Statement attesting to Italian heritage/ancestry signed by a parent or guardian

4. Student may be contacted for a personal interview
