Seychelles
Seychelles, is an island country spanning an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, with an estimated population of 87,972 and it has the smallest population of any African state. In the 1960s, about 33% of the working population worked at plantations, and 20% worked in the public or government sector. In 1971, with the opening of Seychelles International Airport, tourism became a serious industry. In recent years the government has encouraged foreign investment in order to upgrade hotels and other services. The government has also moved to reduce the dependence on tourism by promoting the development of farming, fishing, small-scale manufacturing and most recently the offshore financial sector. Seychelles imports much more than what it exports creating a trade deficit which has been slightly reduced due the drop in imports and the revival of exports. Its main trading partners are the European Union, Saudi Arabia and Mauritius. Its agricultural products include sweet potatoes, vanilla, coconuts, and cinnamon.

South Africa
South Africa is a middle-income, emerging market with an abundant supply of natural resources, well-developed financial, legal, communications, energy, and transport sectors, a stock exchange that is the 18th largest in the world and modern infrastructure supporting a relatively efficient distribution of goods to major urban centers throughout the region. Growth was robust from 2004 to 2007 as South Africa reaped the benefits of macroeconomic stability and a global commodities boom but began to slow in the second half of 2007 due to an electricity crisis and the subsequent global financial crisis' impact on commodity prices and demand. The GDP fell nearly 2% in 2009 but recovered in 2010-12. South Africa produces mainly corn, wheat, sugarcane, fruits, vegetables, beef, poultry, mutton, wool and dairy products.

Tanzania
Tanzania, officially the United Republic of Tanzania, is a country in East Africa bordered by Kenya and Uganda to the north. Tanzania is one of the world's poorest economies in terms of per capita income; however, Tanzania averaged 7% GDP growth per year between 2000 and 2008 on strong gold production and tourism. The economy depends heavily on agriculture, which accounts for more than one-quarter of GDP, provides 85% of exports, and employs about 80% of the work force. Tanzania has vast amounts of minerals including gold, diamonds, coal, iron, uranium, nickel, chrome, tin, platinum, coltan, niobium, and others. The country produces mainly coffee, sisal, tea, cotton, cashew nuts, tobacco, cloves, corn, wheat, cassava (tapioca), bananas, fruits and vegetables.
