School Needs

- Barnette Magnet: Clothing racks/ snow pants and boots to fit students in grades K-3. Healthy snacks like
protein/granola bars, single-serving juice drinks, etc. Tutors to help students with various academic

needs.

- *Recess duty: MSN, Barnette, UPark, ARC, CRW, DNL, Ladd, Boreal Sun, Anne Wien and Weller

- *FNSBSD received 3rd DODEA grant: Project DIPLOMAS. FNSBSD looking for a DIPLOMAS Coordinator!

Available Resources

- NPE and Midnight Sun has new Navigators!

- Midnight Sun Elementary would love military volunteers to read for a total of an hour (2-30 mins

sessions) for3rd and 4th graders. Six people each Wednesday

Salvation Army has ranout of money: no more fuel, rent, utilities, etc.

The Rescue Mission provides help with those things through the Genesis program. The Interior Alaska

Center for Non-Violent Living provides help as well.

Thrivalaska Head Start Program: Dotty Harris,

*Sharing of ThrivAlaska Head Start Birth to Five. They have openings year-round: full day and part-time, infant, toddlers and preschoolers. The full day program is for families that qualify for a childcare subsidy. The 6-hour duration and 2 part-day classes at no cost. 2018-2019 school year applications are being taken! Income is verified every six months. Once your child is in the program, they stay in!
