Middlemoor/ Warrens Cross

Start at the car park on the Whitchurch-Whitchurch Down road @ 4969073307.
Walk SE, crossing the road and keeping the hedge and trees to your left, joining a dirt track at Holwell Cottage. As the track curves to the right keep straight down a slope to a bridge.
Cross bridge, go through a gate and up a lane, through the central gate of three and on to Shorts Down.
Follow the path to your left, keeping the hedge to the left, all the way to a tarmac road.
Turn left on the road. Follow this for a short distance,** then turn right on a dirt track keeping the hedge on the right until you reach a road junction.
Take the road opposite, signed to Wilmington.
At the leat turn left (NNE) and walk along your right-hand side of the leat till you reach a road.
Cross the leat and immediately turn left so that you will pass to the left of the farm buildings (W). At the corner of the farm enclosure keep straight on heading west till you reach a road. ****
Turn north and walk down the road to Warrens Cross, turn west at the road junction and walk on the moor beside to the road, cross the road near Venn Bungalow and continue west to Caseytown Cross, continue west to car park.
(Cutting out the moorland bit, could be used on a blustery day)
**Keep Bleak House and the hedge on your left (north east direction) go around the corner and continue in a NNE direction to walk corner and road, then continue to Warrens Cross****
Health and Safety
Walkers should be aware that this walk they may encounter moorland animals, and paths may be slippery and uneven. There is a short stretch of road walking and should be aware of traffic.
