Tren Ingolia is Director of Bands at Westside Jr. High in Walker, LA, having served in that capacity since the school’s inception sixteen years ago. The band program, comprising 25% of the student population, has received superior ratings at the district and state level for the past fourteen years. In just two weeks, her symphonic band will be performing at the state music educators conference in Baton Rouge. Ms. Ingolia has served as adjudicator for numerous parish and district band festivals and has conducted honor bands throughout Louisiana. Her teaching experience spans four decades and encompasses all grade levels, nursery through college. She holds Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music degrees from Southeastern Louisiana University and +30 hours from Louisiana State University. She is a member of LMEA, NAfME, LPBDA, and Delta Omicron Professional Music Fraternity.
As a woodwind specialist, Ms. Ingolia has toured 38 states with numerous musical groups and performed in countless musical productions and operas over the past 40 years. She is a jazz flutist as well as a recording studio musician, having recorded over 20 albums with various artists.
Ms. Ingolia has been honored in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers on six occasions and was twice named Teacher of the Year. She is very honored to have been asked back again to conduct the Tangipahoa Parish Jr. High Honor Band.

Tommy Burroughs, a graduate of PonchatoulaHigh School, has been a music educator since 1970 when he began his teaching career as Director of Bands at IndependenceHigh School. Since then he has served for many years as the Director of Bands at DenhamSpringsHigh School. Through the years his bands have earned numerous Superior ratings at both District and State Festivals. Mr. Burroughs has earned his B.M.E. (1970), M.M.E. (1971), and Ed.S. (1982) from SoutheasternLouisianaUniversity. He has served the Louisiana Music Educators Association as their President (1996-1968) and was inducted into their Hall-of-Fame in 2001.
