On behalf of Ranger Gymnastics, we would like to welcome you to the middle school gymnastics class for the 2014 – 2015 schoolyear. The first day of school is always a hectic transition from summer mode into school operation. Thus, the first day we will meet with the middle school gymnasts at their home middle school campus, Ed WillkeMS orCreekview MS. For the first day of school, the students will meet in the cafeteriafor Creekview MS and in the gym for Ed Willke MS. That is where we will meet with the gymnasts to explain what will happen this school year. The second day they will meet at CTHS, where the students will report from there on out. We will not work out the first week of school; See schedule below.

Practice First Week Schedule – DON’T DRESS OUT

Meet at CTHS gym Tues. – Thur. 8 am.

Mon. – at Middle school by 8:25am

Tues – Physicals & Athletic Paperwork, Remind 101 & Assign lockers

Wed. – Rules & Procedures; Parent Meeting @ 5pm in gym @ CTHS

Thur. – Develop Mission Statement

Fri. - Meet in Dance Gym 8am & Report to Coach Donalson & Coach O’Neal

1) Practice will be held at the Chisholm Trail High School Gymnastics Gym. Practice starts at 7:45am for the girls and 8:00am for the boys. Parents are in charge of getting them to CTHS. The best place to enter the school is through the athletic doors at the “Cross Roads” entrance, where the school flag poles and the awnings are located. This is on the north east sideof the school facing the stadium. Each morning after training 1st period, a bus will pick them up from CTHS. It will leave no later than 8:50am, in order for the students to arrive at their home campus for their 2nd period class.

2) All students must have a current physical on file and must have completed the online athletic packet during the first week of school. They will not be allowed to work out until these things have been completed. Instructions for the online packet are included below.

Steps to complete registration:
a) Parents log onto
b) Click on ‘Sports ParticipationPacket’
c) Complete steps 1-8.
d) Print the Physical Form and fillout the Medical History portion (the front side only) and turn into your gymnastics coach. The medical historymust be completed yearly by everyone.
e) All incoming 7th, 9th, and 11th graders must have a newphysical.
f) Incoming 8th, 10thand 12thgraders will need a new physical if they answered yes to any of the ******first six questions ******on the medical historysheet.

3) Remind 101 is a phone app that will be used to communicate with the students and parents via texting. Instructions will be handed out on 2ndday of school. All participants need to sign up for the Ranger MS Gymnastics group. If a parent/student cannot receive texts then an alternate form of communication must be established to effectively communicate with the coaches.

4) Boy’s Uniform

The boyswill be required to wear a T-shirt and shorts without buttons or zippers. It is highly recommended that these shorts are without pockets as well, since it can lead to a serious hand injury while training. Hair must be off the collar and out of the eyes.

5)Girl’s Uniform

Girls must wear a leotard and spandex or shorts over the leotard. Spaghetti strap leotards are not allowed. Please make sure the leotard is not low cut in the chest area. Jewelry is not allowed during practice and hair must be worn up.

Important Informational Meeting for Middle School Parents: At 5 pm on Wednesday August 27th, we will have our middle school gymnastics parent meeting to discuss the program and to answer any questions or concerns that you might have. Please make sure and attend this meeting.
