Middle Ages Coat of Arms Project

You will be using your knowledge of heraldry to create a personal coat of arms. Your coat of arms must include at least 5 known heraldic symbols, use known heraldic colors and be accompanied by a paragraph explaining your coat of arms. There are many websites on Ms. Berman’s Social Studies page that you can use to learn about the symbols and colors used in Middle Ages coats of arms. In addition, use the “Coat of Arms” handout from class. Read the rubric on the back of this page carefully to learn more about what you need to do. You may use the space below to brainstorm and take notes.
