This field trial is open to all AKC registered pointing breeds andis being heldunder the rules and procedures of the American Kennel Club, Inc.

Bitches in season may compete in the last brace of the last stake each day

Entries will be limited to the number of dogs that can be safely run during daylight hours and entries will close if this is reached prior to specified closing date and time.

Courses, Birds, and Other Comments

Single course without birdfield.

Native and/or liberated quail and/or chukkar in all stakes.

All stakes will be 30 minutes, exceptOpen Puppy (15 min), Open Derby (20 min).

Blank cartridges will be fired in puppy stakes if bird contact is made.

NO OPEN BARREL GUNS PERMITTED and only up to .38 caliber.

Horseback handling is permitted in all stakes.

Use of AKC approved tracking collars/GPS devices is permitted.

Horses will not be provided by Mid-Florida Brittany Club, Inc.

Mid-Florida Brittany Club accepts and encourages foot handling in all stakes.

Prizes

AKC standard rosettes to all placed dogs.

OLGD - The Mid-Florida Brittany Club will retain 50% of all entry fees collected,the remaining 50% will be divided as follows:

1st Place - 50%, 2nd Place - 25%, 3rd Place - 15%, 4th place – 10%

General Information

The Field Trial will be considered over when the last person leaves the grounds on Sunday, 27

March 2011.

No field training is allowed while on the field trial grounds. Dogs may be exercised off lead in the field immediately inside the Masaryktown Field Trial Grounds. The field is next to US Hwy. 41. Take care that your dog(s) does not run onto the highway. The landlord, property owners and the Mid-Florida Brittany Club assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by persons, dogs or personal property while on the Masaryktown Field Trial Grounds.

Keep motor vehicles on the obvious roadways. Do not drive across fields. Excessive drinking will not be tolerated. Please, do not drink and drive!

Refund of each entry fee(s), less $20.00 for expenses, will be made if it is impossible to open or complete the event due to riots, civil disturbances, acts of God or nature that are beyond the control of the Mid-Florida Brittany Club, Inc.

Directions, Camping, Lodging and Food

From I-75 proceed West on Hwy 52 to the intersection of Hwy 41 (approximately 11 miles). Turn right (North) on Hwy 41 and go approximately 6 miles and you will see field trial signs on the left. Go down the embankment, open the stock gate and follow road to Field Trial Grounds. Please be sure to close the stock gate behind you.

Camping is allowed on the Masaryktown Field Trial Grounds. No electric hookups are available. Water and an outdoor, hot water shower are

available on the grounds. If you cook out, keep your fire under control. When you leave be sure your fire is thoroughly out and fire pit is completely covered. Safety comes first! Please respect your fellow campers and keep noise to a minimum at night.

If your dogs, horses, you, your family members or guests dig holes, you are expected to refill them before you leave. You are expected to pick up around your camp or park site. This includes spreading out manure and leftover hay. If you cannot clean up after yourself, cleanup is offered for a nominal fee. Please do not put trash on the ground. Proper trash containers are available.

North of the Masaryktown Field Trial Grounds, ~1/4 mile on US 41 is Big Oaks R. V. Campgrounds (352.799-5533) with full hookups for campers. Hot indoor showers are available there.

Complimentary coffee will be provided Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings by the Mid-Florida Brittany Club, Inc. (MFBC). Lunch w/drink and complimentary water and sodas will be available each day. Friday supper will be on your own. The MFBC will provide the main course for dinner Saturday night toall field trial entrants, judges, guests and volunteers! Please bring a dish to share Saturday night.

Cellular phone(s) will be located near the starting line at all times.

For any life-threatening emergency, dial 911. Once the emergency has been reported, notify the desk at the starting line so we might meet emergency personnel at the highway to furnish an escort to the field trial grounds.

I certify that I am the actual owner of the dog, or that I am the duly authorized agent of the actual owner whose name I have entered above. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I (we) agree to abide by the rules and regulations of The American Kennel Club in effect at the time of this event, and any additional rules and regulations appearing in the premium list of this event and entry form and any decision made in accord with them. I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.
