General Information

Who does the training?
John Tindall - a world’s leading expert in Traditional Natural Medicine and a pioneer in auricular acupuncture into the UK and Europe.

Many of the microsystems courses that are now run in other schools were originally designed and developed by John.

What time does the course start?
The course will start at 9:00am on Friday to complete your registration, and commence at 9:30am on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The course will finish each day at approx.. 4:30pm.

Student Practice Groups

The Yuan TMC holds student practice groups one Saturday a month. The cost is £10 to cover the cost of needles.

Practice groups are from 5pm – 7:30pm. All students and past students are encouraged to attend to fine tune their skills. The groups also provide a wonderful opportunity to network with other practitioners.

FAQs

Do I need prior acupuncture training to attend?

No prior training in acupuncture is required to attend this course.

Is this Auricular Acupuncture course accredited?

Yes. The course has been accredited by both the E.A.R (Ear Acupuncture Register) and the CNHC (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council).

Inviting a volunteer to the workshop
You do not have to invite anyone to attend the workshop. However, it is helpful to get as much practical training as possible. For this reason, we allow students to invite a friend from 2pm on Sunday and Monday, to practice their techniques under clinical supervision.

We also encourage students to invite their friends to the practice groups which are held one Saturday a month 5pm to 7:30pm.

How do I pass the course?

Students will be assessed on the 4th day (final day) of the course. The exam will comprise a Q&A, Health & Safety, needling technique and client handling. Certificates will be handed out at the end of the exam, which means that you can immediately apply for insurance and start practising auricular acupuncture.

How do I join E.A.R and CNHC?

The Yuan TMC runs the E.A.R membership register for the benefit of the public and insurance. The names of E.A.R members can be found at

The cost to join E.A.R is £20 per annum. To join E.A.R. please complete the application form on our website and return along with the £20 annual fee, to the Yuan TMC.

Please contact CNHC directly to register with them. You will need to provide proof of your qualification.

I do not live in London
This is the only auricular acupuncture course of its kind and many students want training directly from John Tindall, but do not reside in London or the UK. We have posted on our website a range of reasonably cheap places to stay near the College under ‘useful links’.

Is there car parking available?
There is free 3 hour car parking available outside Curry’s PC World, plus at Sainbury’s centre. Students who need to move their cars can do so during the breaks.
