Summary/Objective
Under supervision, the Human Resource assistant performs work of moderate difficulty in public human resources and performs related work as assigned.

Essential Functions

  1. Assists department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees.
  2. Assists in administration of the performance management program; helps monitor the performance appraisal process.
  3. Participates in recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel (excluding managerial levels and above); coordinates job fairs, set up and attends.
  4. Responsible for advertising for open positions i.e. craigslist, indeed, website, intranet, colleges, etc.
  5. Administers pre-employment background checks & drug testing.
  6. Assists in the exit interview process.
  7. Responsible for the Star Award Program and birthday announcements
  8. Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
  9. Maintains ADP employee information and compiles reports from the database as needed.
  10. Participates in meetings and seminars as assigned
  11. Helps maintain company organization charts and the employee directory.
  12. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work areMonday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Required Education and Experience

  1. A bachelor’s degree in human resource management, or one to two years’ experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Human resource experience in this industry.
